Who we are
CultureCon is a one-day event of art, food, experiences and exclusives. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through this website (cultrcon.com) and the emails we send, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email info@cultrcon.com.
What we collect
We keep this to what we need. The information we collect depends on what you do on the site:
- Join the list. Your email address.
- Vendor application. Your name, business or brand name, email address, Instagram handle (optional), category, and the description of what you make or sell. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the free-text field.
- Messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages requested and timestamps, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. We also use your IP address briefly to limit repeated form submissions and prevent spam.
This site does not currently take payments. If tickets are sold through a ticketing partner, that partner collects your payment details under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To send the confirmation email you asked for when you join the list or apply as a vendor.
- To send updates about CultureCon, such as lineups, ticket notes and drops, if you joined the list.
- To review vendor applications, reply to you and follow up about next steps.
- To run, secure and improve the website, and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and to protect our rights.
We will not use your information for purposes that are very different from these without telling you first.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers who work for us under their own terms. Today that is Resend, which delivers our emails and stores our contact lists, and our website hosting provider.
- Our team. Vendor applications are emailed to the CultureCon team so we can review them.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, or is needed to protect people, the event or the site.
- Business changes. If CultureCon is reorganized or transferred, your information may move with it, and this policy would continue to apply.
Cookies, fonts and similar technology
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site. A few things are worth knowing:
- The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When it does, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and browser details.
- Our emails may contain images that load from our website, and our email provider may record whether an email was opened or a link was clicked.
- Links to Instagram, X and other sites take you outside CultureCon. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
How long we keep it
- Email list. Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We may keep a record that you opted out so we do not email you again.
- Vendor applications. For as long as we need to review them, run the event and keep reasonable records. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
- Server and security logs. For a limited period, as set by our hosting provider.
Your choices and rights
Unsubscribe any time using the link in our marketing emails, or by emailing info@cultrcon.com.
You can also ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, such as Colorado or California, you may have additional rights, including to access, correct and delete your data, to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling, and to not be treated differently for exercising these rights. As noted above, we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
To make a request, email info@cultrcon.com. We may need to confirm it is you before we act, and we will respond within the time the law requires. If we decline a request, you can reply to appeal our decision.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including limiting who can see vendor applications. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email info@cultrcon.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and if the changes are significant we will say so on the site or by email.
